When the shells aren’t being used they should be kept on their tees.  This is especially important in windy conditions.  Shells can be blown over in some types of slings.  It is good practice to keep your shells on tees particularly when unsupervised.  If the shells are going to be on tees unsupervised for an extended period of time, such as overnight, they should be tied down to the tees with their straps.  Learn from the other coxswains how this is done.  The method is similar to how they are strapped to the trailer.
